Food To Make The Heart Sing

Songwriters and chefs know one thing for certain, food is a musical score with the notes written in the oven. From Oliver’s “Food Glorious Food” to the Cajun anthem “Jambalaya”  we’ve been singing the praises of great food since before we could write. It’s surprising there are no food pictures on cave walls (just the raw ingredients) in places like France’s Lascaux Caves. After all, there must have been a paleolithic Julia Child. Today we don’t have to hunt dinner down, just settle into the kitchen for a truly creative experience or troop on down to the neighbourhood’s best restaurant. Food photography is just like music – designed to whet your appetite. It can make you sing or at least hum a few bars.
